The EZIComm is an INSTEON PowerLine Modem, that uses the INSTEON chip from SmartLabs. The unit is functionally equivalent to the SmartLabs 2412S and interfaces to a PC or home automation controller via serial RS-232 (or your choice of RS-485) to control lights, appliances, heating/air conditioning systems and alarm systems. This module has on-board memory to keep a database of associated (linked) devices.

The unit also provides unregulated 12VDC power to the connected device eliminating the need for a separate power supply when connecting to controllers such as our EZIO8SA.
