The Harmony Platinum gateway provides the bridge between an Ethernet connection and a wireless or hybrid home/building automation network. It is accessible from anywhere including the Internet through built-in web services. Harmony has a built-in IEEE802.15.14 radio configurable for ZigBee PRO, 6LoWPAN and JenNet, plus an interface to an INSTEON and/or X10 network through a SmartLabs PLM (not included.) Harmony is the first HAN gateway able to manage and harmonize these diverse protocols. Harmony operates stand-alone with built-in sophisticated automation software, therefore, there is no need for a dedicated PC. The computing platform is based on a 32-bit RISC CPU (AVR32) and Linux making custom powerful applications easy to develop and deploy.

NOW shipping ONLY for OEMs and Integrators developing their own applications. The Harmony GUI HAN application IS NOT INCLUDED at this time

  • Powerful, integrated computing platform

Overview
Applications
The Harmony automation gateway provides the means to monitor and control small to large networks of devices that use ZigBee PRO, INSTEON and X10 through an Ethernet connection. Using any web browser such as Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome or Mozilla, the unit can be set up and used to monitor and control lighting, irrigation, home theaters, drapes, etc.  Because the unit connects to a computer network through an Ethernet connection, Harmony can be accessed remotely through the Internet.

Harmony does not require a PC for operation and maintains schedules (timers) and sophisticated "if-then" conditions to control devices at specific times of the day on particular days of the week and/or in response to device events. The schedules and events can also be based on offsets from Sunrise/Sunset automatically calculated from the its geographic location.  In the event of a power loss, a battery-backed up real time clock keeps the time and ensures operation continues seamlessly once power is restored. Harmony maintains timers and events and takes the appropriate action when required without further intervention by an outside software application.

ZigBee PRO, INSTEON and X10 compatibility means virtually unlimited connectivity,
including wireless networks and the Internet.

Harmony concurrently serves up to 20 client applications including our own Harmony Flash application.  Our open programmer's interface and standards-based platform, enable the future availability of third-party web and PC applications.  EZSrve is easy to install and operate, and its set-up is done through a provided application. This application allows:

  • Discovery and set up of automation devices in the network.
  • Configuration of network parameters, geographic location, time of day, etc.
  • Set up of timers and events
