ZBPLM is a multi-protocol interface that allows PC and hardware-based automation controllers to monitor and control ZigBee, INSTEON and X10-compatible lights, appliances, heating/air conditioning systems and alarm systems. The device communicates with the controller via a serial RS-232 line and a simple command/response protocol.

ZBPLM includes the INSTEON PLM chip from SmartLabs and is thus functionally equivalent to the SmartLabs 2412S. In addition to providing transparent operation as an INSTEON PLM, the device includes a ZigBee PRO radio based on the Jennic 5148 to offer unparalled performance as a ZigBee coordinator.

ZBPLM ships configured as a ZigBee coordinator implementing the HA Profile. Most HA Client Clusters configured out of the box for controlling and monitoring typical ZigBee HA networks. API document available in our Downloads section.
